Worth the Wait

adidas Baseball is capitalizing on its latest addition to a growing roster of A list athletes, Kris Bryant. With the Cubs having made an executive chess move sending Bryant to the minors so they could leverage his contract under the league's CBA agreement, adidas posted this billboard outside of Wrigley Field Sunday night for the season opener against the St Louis Cardinals that has the conversation going in the City of Wind...

Some think the billboard is taking a dig at the Cubs. I don't see it that way but what do you think? Tell us in the comment section below...

adidas Baseball Signs Cubs Top Draft Pick Kris Bryant

adidas Baseball has signed Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant. The #2 overall pick in the 2013 MLB Draft, Bryant led the nation in home runs last year while earning the Golden Spikes Award, Dick Howser Trophy and first team All-American honors. Bryant is wearing the adizero 5-Tool 2.5, the lightest midcut spike in baseball.

"I've always liked adidas shoes, but didn't get the chance to wear their cleats in college," said Bryant. "When I had the chance to try out adidas again recently, I loved them. I even got a sneak peek of what's to come later this year and it's awesome. adidas is doing stuff I've never seen in baseball cleats and it's going to change the game."

Bryant joins the adidas baseball roster featuring Justin and BJ Upton of the Atlanta Braves, Chase Utley of the Philadelphia Phillies, Coco Crisp of the Oakland Athletics, Jayson Werth of the Washington Nationals and Homer Bailey of the Cincinnati Reds, among others.
