UCF Loses Adidas Contract

(spotted THE SHOE GAME)
I heard about this potentially becoming a problem a couple months ago. The youngest son of Hall of Fame NBA star Michael Jordan, Marcus Jordan, received an athletic scholarship to the University of Central Florida. He stated early on that he would wear adidas apparel because they sponsored the school but would not wear any adidas footwear. Marcus would ONLY wear Jordan footwear out of loyalty to his family name. Last night in an exhibition game against Saint Leo he held true to his word when he opted to wear a pair of his father's namesakes on court.
According to the Associated Press adidas spokeswoman Andrea Corso responded:
“The University of Central Florida has chosen not to deliver on their contractual commitment to adidas. As a result we have chosen not to continue our relationship with them moving forward.”
I smell a Brand Jordan contract on the horizon for UCF.
